Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17 August 2026 – Affin Bank shares fell to their lowest level in eight months after a weaker-than-expected second quarter intensified scrutiny of provisions, asset quality and the timing of its earnings recovery.
The stock declined as much as three sen, or more than 1 per cent, to RM2.20 before trading at RM2.21 as over one million shares changed hands by 11am. The bank has lost nearly 18 per cent from its 2026 peak and its market capitalisation has fallen below RM6 billion.
