Malaysia Rubber Output Jumps 31.5% as Exports and Glove Sales Strengthen

Kuala Lumpur, 13 August 2026 – Malaysia’s natural rubber production rose 31.5% month on month to 26,553 tonnes in June 2026, strengthening supply across a commodity chain that remains important to smallholders, processors and medical-product exporters.

Output increased from 20,198 tonnes in May and was 1.2% above the 26,249 tonnes recorded in June 2025. Smallholders generated 88.7% of production, while estates contributed 11.3%, showing how strongly the sector’s performance remains tied to dispersed rural producers.
