Gamuda’s RM1.71 Billion Data Centre Contract Points to Stronger Margins

Kuala Lumpur, 6 August 2026 – Gamuda Bhd’s latest RM1.71 billion hyperscale data centre contract is expected to strengthen its earnings profile as higher-margin digital infrastructure projects become a larger part of the construction group’s record order book.

The award is Gamuda’s first secured contract for its 2027 financial year. Based on the performance of earlier data centre packages, the project could generate a pre-tax profit margin of approximately 8% under a cost-plus arrangement, according to the reported investment analysis.
