Oriental Interest Proposes RM280 Million Acquisition to Enter Financing Business

Kedah, 27 July 2026 – Oriental Interest Berhad has proposed acquiring two motorcycle retail and financing businesses for RM280 million, establishing a new growth platform beyond its core property-development operations while broadening its recurring-income base.

The Main Market-listed company plans to acquire the entire equity interests in Chin Hin (Jitra) Sendirian Berhad and CHJ Motor Holdings Sdn Bhd. The companies operate an integrated motorcycle business covering retail sales, hire-purchase financing, moneylending, after-sales servicing, spare-parts distribution and insurance agency services.
