Kuala Pilah, 22 July 2026 – Malaysia has rejected pressure from eight United States lawmakers over its handling of Israeli nationals, insisting that immigration enforcement and related investigations fall within the country’s sovereign authority.
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil described the lawmakers’ intervention as inappropriate and said Malaysia’s position would be communicated clearly to the United States Embassy through official diplomatic channels.
