Warren Buffett Halts Gates Foundation Donations Pending Epstein Review

Omaha, Nebraska, 14 July 2026 – Warren Buffett has halted his annual donations to the Gates Foundation, interrupting a nearly two-decade pattern of multibillion-dollar contributions as the organisation reviews its past engagement with Jeffrey Epstein.

The 95-year-old Berkshire Hathaway chairman has donated more than US$47 billion in company shares to the foundation since beginning his giving programme in 2006. His contribution in 2025 was valued at more than US$4.5 billion.
