Government Launches RM60 Billion Initiative to Accelerate MSME Growth and Economic Resilience

Putrajaya, 27 June 2026 – The Malaysian government has unveiled a RM60 billion financing and development initiative aimed at strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), reinforcing the sector’s role as a key driver of economic growth, employment and innovation.

The programme brings together financing facilities, guarantees, digitalisation support, capacity-building initiatives and market-access programmes designed to help businesses scale operations, improve productivity and enhance competitiveness amid a challenging global environment.
