Kuala Lumpur, 14 May 2026 – The FBM KLCI moved within a narrow range in early trade as investors stayed cautious ahead of high-stakes talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, with markets watching closely for signals on trade, technology, Iran and Taiwan.

At 9.05am, the benchmark index was up 3.03 points to 1,749.34, moving within a tight 2.5-point range as investors avoided making aggressive bets before clearer direction emerges from the US-China meeting.
