MATRADE Targets RM4.5 Billion In Sales At MIHAS 2026 As Malaysia Strengthens Global Halal Trade Ambition

Kuala Lumpur, 28 April 2026 – The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation is targeting RM4.5 billion in sales at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase 2026, as Malaysia moves to reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading hubs for halal trade, certification, sourcing and cross-border business matching.

MATRADE chief executive officer Abu Bakar Yusof said the agency expects at least 2,300 exhibitors from more than 50 countries to participate in this year’s MIHAS, reflecting the continued international pull of Malaysia’s flagship halal trade platform. MIHAS 2026 is positioned as the 22nd edition of the showcase and is promoted as the world’s premier halal trade platform.
