KUALA LUMPUR, 28 February 2026 — The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) has activated the Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for rubber smallholders in Sabah and Sarawak for February 2026, following a decline in average farmgate prices for cuplump rubber in both states.

In a statement, MRB said the average farmgate price for cuplump rubber in February stood at RM2.85 per kilogramme (kg) in Sabah and RM2.75 per kg in Sarawak, below the RM3.00 per kg threshold required to trigger the incentive.

The incentive was not activated for Peninsular Malaysia, where the average farmgate price was higher at RM3.15 per kg during the same month.

MRB said the IPG rates for cuplump rubber in Sabah are set at 15 sen per kg for 50% dry rubber content (DRC) and 30 sen per kg for 100% DRC. In Sarawak, the rates are 25 sen per kg for 50% DRC and 50 sen per kg for 100% DRC.

For latex, the IPG rate is fixed at 90 sen per kg for latex with 100% DRC, and will be activated concurrently with the cuplump incentive.

Eligible smallholders in Sabah and Sarawak will receive IPG payments from March 1 to March 31, 2026, based on rubber production in February 2026.
