Kuala Lumpur, 13 August 2026 – ZUS Coffee is considering an initial public offering of its Malaysian business that could raise at least RM1 billion, positioning the home-grown chain as a significant test of investor demand for scalable consumer brands. The potential transaction could value Zuspresso Sdn Bhd at about RM4 billion and may reach Bursa Malaysia as early as mid-2027, although discussions remain preliminary and the timetable, size and structure could change.
The possible listing follows a rapid expansion that has taken ZUS from its first outlet in 2019 to 1,000 locations by October 2025, including stores in Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore. Its rise has been built around accessible pricing, mobile ordering and a data-led retail model, giving the company a blend of consumer familiarity and technology-enabled operating leverage. For equity investors, the central question is whether that model can sustain store productivity as the footprint broadens across markets with different costs and tastes.
