Petaling Jaya, 28 October 2026 – YTL Corp Bhd is forecast to move from broadly flat earnings in financial year 2027 to about 10% growth in FY2028, supported by data-centre operations, water utilities and cement. The outlook comes alongside a widening valuation gap with listed subsidiary YTL Power International Bhd: one research house said the subsidiary’s market capitalisation had risen about 53% year to date while YTL Corp’s had fallen around 3%.

The contrast matters to investors because YTL Corp’s value depends both on the performance of its operating businesses and on how markets price its stake in YTL Power. The earnings and valuation figures are analyst estimates and observations, not company guidance or a guaranteed re-rating; delivery, capital allocation and the structure of any future listing will determine whether the gap narrows.
