Kuala Lumpur, 28 September 2026 – Yinson Holdings’ possible privatisation remains under discussion rather than a completed or agreed transaction, despite an indicative RM2.35-per-share figure circulating around the proposal. In a 25 September exchange announcement, the company said its major shareholder Yinson Legacy had informed it that discussions with MISC and the Employees Provident Fund were continuing. The board expressly warned that there was no assurance the talks would produce a scheme.

The proposal under consideration is a scheme of arrangement under Section 366 of Malaysia’s Companies Act 2016. Such a structure would require a defined offer, formal documentation and the necessary approvals before shareholders could treat it as an executable exit. Yinson said the parties still have to evaluate and negotiate terms, sign definitive agreements, determine the final offer price and satisfy other conditions. The RM2.35 figure remains indicative and may change.
