KUALA LUMPUR — Yenher Holdings Bhd is poised for a stronger second half of 2025, with robust poultry segment sales expected to drive recovery following a softer first half performance. The animal health and nutrition products manufacturer posted a net profit of RM8.4 million for the six months ended June 30, down 16% year-on-year, on revenue of RM150 million. The company attributed the decline to higher operating costs, which are expected to be offset in the coming quarters through insurance recoveries linked to a fire incident.
Despite the profit dip, analysts remain upbeat. Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) has reaffirmed its ‘Buy’ call on Yenher, setting a 52-week target price of RM1.41, well above the counter’s last close of 75.5 sen. The investment bank highlighted that the continued strength of the ringgit should support manufacturing margins, as about 90% of Yenher’s input costs are denominated in U.S. dollars.
HLIB also underscored the company’s expansion plans as a catalyst for long-term growth. From the first quarter of 2026, Yenher will commission a black soldier fly plant, followed by expanded biotech feed additive, premix, and complete feed capacities by June 2026. These investments, coupled with resilient demand fundamentals, are expected to deliver a structural uplift in earnings and further entrench Yenher as a key player in Malaysia’s animal nutrition sector.
Yenher, headquartered in Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang, manufactures premixes, formulated products, complete feed, and biotech-based feed ingredients, with its core business anchored in the poultry and swine subsectors. Its distribution network also spans feed additives, veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, livestock reproduction products, aquaculture solutions, and companion animal products, making it a diversified supplier across Malaysia’s livestock and animal care industry.
With poultry demand remaining strong and expanded capacities on the horizon, Yenher is positioning itself for a rebound in profitability in the second half and beyond, aligning its growth with Malaysia’s evolving agricultural and food security landscape.
