TSMC Chief Sees AI Boom Driving Strong Chip Demand With No Sign of Easing

Taipei, 4 June 2026 – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co is staying upbeat on its growth outlook as demand for artificial intelligence chips continues to accelerate, reinforcing the company’s position at the centre of the global AI supply chain.

TSMC chief executive officer C.C. Wei said at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting that the AI boom is showing no sign of slowing, with increasing adoption of AI models across consumer, enterprise and sovereign AI applications. He said this trend is driving demand for greater computing power, which in turn supports strong demand for advanced semiconductor chips.
