TechStore Secures RM54.8 Million Government Contract to Upgrade National Registration System

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 February 2026 – TechStore Berhad has secured a major government contract valued at RM54.79 million from Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs (Kementerian Dalam Negeri, KDN), marking a significant milestone that strengthens the Group’s position in the national information and communication technology (ICT) and digital infrastructure sector.

The contract was awarded to TechStore’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (TSM), for the project titled “Perkhidmatan Naik Taraf Sistem Rekod Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara Putrajaya”, which involves upgrading the records system of the National Registration Department (Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara, JPN) in Putrajaya.

The project will span a contract period of 60 months, commencing from 8 July 2026, providing TechStore with long-term earnings visibility and reinforcing its role as a technology solutions provider supporting critical government digital infrastructure.

Strengthening Role in Government Digital Infrastructure

The contract underscores TechStore’s expertise in delivering ICT solutions and professional project contracting services, particularly in high-security and mission-critical government environments.

TSM’s core business focuses on the distribution, implementation, and integration of software and hardware solutions related to security and ICT products. The latest contract reflects the Group’s capability to undertake complex government technology projects that support national digitalisation and data management initiatives.

The National Registration Department plays a central role in managing Malaysia’s population records, including identity documentation and citizen registration systems. Upgrading its records infrastructure is a key component of Malaysia’s broader digital transformation agenda, aimed at improving efficiency, data security, and public service delivery.

Long-Term Contract Enhances Earnings Visibility

With a total contract value of RM54.79 million and a five-year implementation period, the project is expected to contribute positively to TechStore Group’s financial performance over the contract duration.

Long-term government ICT contracts typically provide stable recurring revenue streams, enhancing earnings predictability and strengthening a company’s order book.

TechStore’s Board of Directors stated that the contract is in the best interest of the Group and aligns with its core business operations. The contract is not expected to affect the Group’s share capital structure or major shareholders’ shareholdings.

Importantly, none of the Company’s directors, major shareholders, or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the contract, ensuring full compliance with governance and regulatory standards.

Supporting Malaysia’s National Digitalisation and Data Security Initiatives

The contract award reflects continued government investment in modernising public sector digital infrastructure, particularly in areas involving identity management and citizen data systems.

Malaysia’s digital transformation initiatives aim to enhance operational efficiency, improve public service delivery, and strengthen cybersecurity frameworks across government agencies.

TechStore’s involvement in upgrading the National Registration Department’s records system positions the Group as a key participant in Malaysia’s public sector digital infrastructure development.

Such projects also reinforce the importance of secure, reliable ICT systems in supporting national administration and governance.

Strategic Outlook: Government ICT Contracts Strengthen Growth Pipeline

The RM54.79 million contract reinforces TechStore’s position as a trusted ICT solutions provider within Malaysia’s public sector technology ecosystem.

For investors, the contract enhances TechStore’s earnings visibility, strengthens its project pipeline, and demonstrates its capability to secure high-value government contracts.

Government digitalisation initiatives are expected to remain a key growth driver for ICT solution providers, supported by increasing demand for system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and digital infrastructure modernisation.

As Malaysia continues advancing its digital transformation agenda, TechStore is well-positioned to benefit from sustained demand for ICT solutions and government technology projects.
