Taipei, 20 October 2026 – Taiwan’s export orders reached a record US$114.21 billion in September, rising 62.4% from a year earlier as global demand for artificial-intelligence hardware and advanced technology remained strong. The Ministry of Economic Affairs said orders increased 10.9% from August, when the monthly total exceeded US$100 billion for the first time.
For Asian businesses and investors, the figures show that spending on computing infrastructure is still feeding directly into Taiwan’s semiconductor and electronics supply chain. The order data are confirmed, but they indicate future shipments rather than completed export revenue. Strong orders support manufacturers’ visibility, while execution will depend on production capacity, component availability, customer schedules and the concentration of demand among large technology buyers.
