KUALA LUMPUR, 22 September 2025 — Seni Jaya Corporation Berhad has announced its proposed acquisition of Ganad Media Sdn Bhd for RM5 million, as part of its strategy to bolster its Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising footprint across Malaysia. The move is intended to enhance Seni Jaya’s media network and better position it competitively in the static and digital billboard advertising space.
Ganad Media, a Malaysian company operating in the OOH sector, will add to Seni Jaya’s asset base and portfolio of media locations. The deal complements earlier expansion moves by Seni Jaya, including its prior acquisitions of Unilink Outdoor Sdn Bhd and Vision OOH Sdn Bhd, as well as its growing foray into digital OOH solutions and greater coverage in high-traffic and premium locations.
What This Means for Seni Jaya and Investors
For Seni Jaya, the acquisition of Ganad Media is more than just adding another company—it reflects an ongoing consolidation strategy in Malaysia’s billboard and outdoor advertising industry, aimed at increasing scale, location quality, and coverage breadth. This helps the company better leverage pricing power, negotiate more effectively with advertisers, and diversify its revenue sources amid rising competition and shifting ad expenditures.
From an investment perspective, the RM5 million price tag is relatively modest, yet the strategic value is in the synergies and possible cost savings from combining operations, as well as in the asset uplift from owning more high-impact signage locations. As OOH advertising rebounds post pandemic and as brands increasingly demand visibility in both static and digital formats, companies with strong location portfolios and digital capability may outpace peers.
However, execution will matter. Seni Jaya will need to integrate Ganad’s operations, ensure optimal location utilisation, maintain upkeep of statutes and permits, and continue pushing into digital and ambient advertising formats. Fluctuations in outdoor advertising demand—driven by economic sentiment, regulatory restrictions, and changes in consumer mobility—could weigh on revenue growth.
