Seoul, 30 July 2026 – Samsung Electronics delivered a record second-quarter performance as accelerating demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure sent semiconductor earnings sharply higher, more than compensating for losses in its mobile and consumer-device operations.
Operating profit for the April-to-June quarter surged more than 19-fold from a year earlier to approximately 89.5 trillion won, or about US$62 billion. Consolidated revenue climbed 130% to a record 171.5 trillion won, demonstrating the scale at which spending on AI servers and advanced computing infrastructure is reshaping the global technology supply chain.
