Royalton And PETRONAS Technology Ventures Collaborate To Validate Graphene-Enhanced Underwater Epoxy

Kuala Lumpur, 28 April 2026 – Royalton Coating Systems has entered into a collaboration with PETRONAS Technology Ventures Sdn Bhd to jointly validate and test a graphene-enhanced protective coating system, marking a notable step in Malaysia’s push to strengthen industrial innovation for energy, marine and infrastructure assets.

The collaboration will see Royalton enhance ROYALPOXY UW 410, its underwater epoxy coating system, with ProShield+™, a graphene additive technology wholly owned by PETRONAS. The validation work is aimed at assessing whether graphene-enhanced coatings can improve corrosion resistance, strengthen durability and extend the service life of assets exposed to harsh underwater and industrial environments.
