Kuala Lumpur, 25 September 2026 – The ringgit opened modestly stronger against the US dollar and several major currencies on Friday, despite pressure from rising US Treasury yields. At 8am, the dollar was quoted at RM4.0810/RM4.0865, compared with RM4.0840/RM4.0880 at Thursday’s close. The move was small and time-specific; it should not be confused with a full-day gain.
