Kuala Lumpur, 21 September 2026 – Bursa Malaysia opened the week on a cautious footing as geopolitical uncertainty weighed on the benchmark, yet renewable-energy counters advanced sharply enough to reveal a more selective market beneath the subdued index. The FBM KLCI fell 2.02 points, or 0.12%, to 1,663.54 at 9.17am after opening 1.36 points lower at 1,664.20.

The weakness was broad enough to pressure several prominent companies. Malaysian Pacific Industries declined 80 sen to RM42, Nestlé Malaysia lost 78 sen to RM88.80, Sunway Construction eased 52 sen to RM7.36 and TIME dotCom fell 48 sen to RM5.93.
