Tokyo, 13 October 2026 – Omron has agreed to acquire US industrial-computer manufacturer OnLogic and its parent Interlogic for US$675 million, giving the Japanese automation group a larger hardware platform for physical artificial intelligence. The transaction is expected to close around January 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions, and will make both businesses consolidated Omron subsidiaries.
OnLogic designs configurable, rugged computers for factories, logistics, energy and other demanding environments. Omron plans to combine that edge-computing capability with its own control, sensing and robotics technologies. The goal is to build systems that can perceive conditions, process data locally and act in real time rather than sending every task to a distant cloud.
