KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8, 2025 — Telecommunications and infrastructure services provider OCK Group Berhad is progressing with plans to list its 52%-owned power engineering arm, EI Power Technologies Sdn Bhd (EIPT), on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia.
According to a Bursa filing, the listing will take place through a newly established entity, EI Power Bhd (EIP), which will serve as the parent company to EIPT and its operating arms: EI Power Nexus Sdn Bhd and EI Power (Thailand) Co Ltd. OCK has appointed M&A Securities Sdn Bhd as the adviser and sponsor for the proposed IPO.
The listing remains preliminary. OCK is currently conducting preparatory work, and the plan requires approvals from Bursa Securities, relevant regulatory bodies, and OCK shareholders before moving forward. A comprehensive announcement will be made once details are finalized.
Background: EIPT’s Role and Recent Activity
EIPT specializes in energy solutions, particularly covering engineering initiatives such as backup power infrastructure for data centers. In August of the previous year, EIPT secured three contracts worth a combined RM32.5 million for such installations—though OCK did not disclose the clients involved.
For OCK shareholders, a successful IPO of EIP would unlock several strategic benefits:
