ZURICH: Newly appointed Nestlé chief executive Philipp Navratil has called on employees to embrace speed and openness to new ideas, as the Swiss food giant reshapes its leadership and pushes ahead with its 2025 targets.
“What can each of us do to make Nestlé better, smarter and faster?” Navratil wrote in a LinkedIn post following a global staff event. “Together, we are … moving fast, open to fresh ideas on how we deliver the future of tasty, healthy, affordable food.”
Navratil, who took charge on September 1 after the dismissal of former CEO Laurent Freixe over an undisclosed office relationship, said he remains focused on delivering Nestlé’s near-term objectives.
In July, Nestlé reaffirmed its outlook, projecting organic sales growth in 2025 and a profit margin at or above 16%.
The leadership changes extend beyond the CEO’s office. Nestlé’s long-serving chairman Paul Bulcke announced on Tuesday that he would step down at the end of the month, concluding a 46-year career with the company.
Nestlé, the maker of KitKat chocolate bars and Nescafé instant coffee, is navigating one of its most significant executive shake-ups in years as it seeks to balance continuity with fresh momentum.
