Mega Fortris Partners with GritCargo to Advance Smarter, Connected Logistics

By Katherine (Kay)3 min read

KUALA LUMPUR: Mega Fortris, a global leader in security and tamper-evident solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with GritCargo, a digital visibility platform aimed at transforming how cargo is tracked, monitored, and secured worldwide.

The collaboration marks an expansion of Mega Fortris’ established physical security offerings into the digital domain, delivering an end-to-end solution that combines hardware and software for modern logistics. Customers will now be able to manage shipment risks with real-time insights, live tracking, and environmental monitoring.

For more than 20 years, Mega Fortris has built its reputation protecting global supply chains. The new partnership represents the next chapter in its evolution.

Smart Tracking with GritCargo and iMSense

At the core of the partnership is the iMSense tracking device, powered by the GritCargo platform. The system provides users with an intuitive dashboard to view trip activity, set alert thresholds, and generate full audit-ready reports.

“Security today is about more than locks and seals,” said Datuk Adrian Ng, Group CEO of Mega Fortris. “It is about visibility, responsiveness, and insight. With GritCargo and iMSense, we are delivering a solution that is simple to use but incredibly powerful, and one that brings real value to our clients around the world.”

Ng explained that the system captures critical data during transit, including temperature, humidity, tilt, and shocks, offering additional assurance that goods are protected throughout the journey.

AI Integration and Real-Time Visibility

Craig Rivet, CEO of GritCargo, highlighted the AI integration as a key differentiator. “By combining Mega Fortris’ legacy with GritCargo’s digital visibility platform, we are building a complete ecosystem where physical protection meets real-time intelligence. The integration of AI is a game changer, allowing users to easily obtain real-time information on their cargo in transit through WhatsApp.”

He noted that the solution directly addresses long-standing challenges in logistics, including the lack of real-time visibility and unmonitored theft, both of which often lead to costly bottlenecks.

Strengthening Growth and Market Reach

The partnership underscores Mega Fortris’ commitment to adapt to changing client demands. The company aims to deepen customer relationships and broaden revenue streams across industries such as cold chain, pharmaceuticals, high-value goods, and cross-border trade.

“This move is not a departure from our core business, but a natural evolution of it,” said Ng. “It ensures our clients not only receive physical protection but also data-driven solutions that keep them competitive and compliant.”

Jason Francis, COO of Mega Fortris, added: “The strength of Mega Fortris has always been in its people. Together, with GritCargo, we are ready to raise the standard for cargo visibility — and show the world what smarter security really looks like.”

Global Rollout and Support

As part of the official rollout, the GritCargo team will provide onboarding, training, demo units, and ongoing technical support for Mega Fortris subsidiaries, partners, and clients.

The collaboration is expected to unlock new markets and strengthen recurring income streams by offering sustained value and long-term support.
