Kuala Lumpur, 3 June 2026 – Malaysia’s gas supply remains stable with no immediate risk of shortage, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang said, offering reassurance to industries and consumers at a time when energy security remains a key concern across the region.

Chang’s assurance comes amid heightened attention on the resilience of Malaysia’s domestic energy supply chain, particularly as businesses monitor global commodity uncertainty, cost pressures and the reliability of critical fuel inputs for industrial operations.
