Plantation and Commodities Minister Noraini Ahmad is visiting India during a five-day mission that includes meetings with buyers, officials and industry groups. Exports to India reached 2.26 million tonnes in the first eight months of 2026, up 40.4% from the comparable period, the council said. Malaysia’s share of India’s palm-oil imports rose to 39.2%. Those figures support the scale of the trading relationship; they do not establish how much of the volume already consists of higher-value derivatives.
