Malaysia Must Stay Ahead In Muslim-Friendly Tourism As Global Competition Intensifies, Says Tiong

Kuala Lumpur, 4 July 2026 – Malaysia must continue strengthening its Muslim-friendly tourism ecosystem as more destinations compete for a larger share of the global Muslim travel market, said Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

Speaking at the official opening of the second edition of the MATTA Muslim Friendly Travel Fair 2026 at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Tiong said Malaysia has built a strong reputation as a welcoming and trusted destination for Muslim travellers, but cannot afford to be complacent.
