KUALA LUMPUR: Here’s the latest on movements in the stock and cryptocurrency markets.

Bursa Malaysia opened weaker this morning, tracking Wall Street’s mixed performance overnight and ahead of the release of Malaysia’s second-quarter GDP data.

The benchmark index is expected to trade within the 1,575–1,585 range.

On the ACE Market, newly listed Oxford Innotech was among the most actively traded counters in early trade, with around 5.8 million shares changing hands. The stock opened one per cent higher, adding half a sen to 41.5 sen.

In cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin was steady near the RM500,000 mark at RM503,608, while Ethereum traded at RM19,532.
