MACC Records Over RM16.29 Billion in Seizures and Recoveries Since 2021

Putrajaya, 11 May 2026 – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has recorded more than RM16.29 billion in combined seizures, forfeitures, compounds and settlements since 2021, highlighting the scale of its enforcement and asset-recovery work in corruption-related cases.

The figure reflects the commission’s broader focus on not only investigating corruption, but also recovering public assets and illicit gains linked to abuse of power, leakages and financial misconduct. According to reports, the amount covers seizures, forfeitures, compounds and settlement actions carried out over the period.
