KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8, 2025 — Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (“Jati Tinggi”) has strengthened its foothold in Malaysia’s utilities engineering space with a new subcontract award worth RM42.9 million. The contract covers 11kV underground cable works in Selangor’s North and South zones.
The work, assigned to Jati Tinggi’s unit Jati Tinggi Holdings Sdn Bhd, was awarded by Worktime Engineering Sdn Bhd, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia. The comprehensive scope includes:
- Supply of conduit pipes
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of 11kV power and fibre-optic cables
- Handling of joints, terminations, and all related ancillary works
The contract is scheduled to be completed within 20 months from receipt of the official notice to commence work.
A Track Record of Consistent Wins
This latest award builds on Jati Tinggi’s strong performance this year. The company has surpassed RM400 million in new job wins, primarily in the utilities and energy infrastructure sectors. Many of these contracts stem from longstanding ties with Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
Recent projects have also included:
- An RM31.6 million underground cable project from Pintar Gembira Sdn Bhd in southern Selangor.
- A RM46.7 million assignment involving 11kV cable installation for both northern and southern zones, awarded by YM Teras Sdn Bhd.
Strategic Momentum in Utilities Engineering
Jati Tinggi’s continued success in securing complex utility contracts underscores the group’s growing prominence in Malaysia’s electrical infrastructure sector. Its capabilities span a broad range of services—from underground cable installations to fibre-optic and power distribution projects.
These wins are expected to boost earnings, net asset value, and per-share metrics, without diluting current share capital or altering substantial shareholding positions.
