Kuala Lumpur, October 14, 2025 — Regional technology solutions provider Infomina Berhad (盈获数码科技集团) began its financial year on a strong note, posting robust topline and operational performance for the first quarter ended 31 August 2025 (1QFY2026).
Revenue climbed 18.2% year-on-year to RM54.6 million, underpinned by solid contributions across its major business segments, especially from its technology infrastructure and data solutions divisions. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 3.1% YoY to RM9.9 million, while profit after tax (PATMI) increased to RM8.1 million, reflecting both stronger revenue flow and an improved project mix.
The performance signals continued growth momentum as Infomina accelerates its transition from traditional infrastructure systems towards data-centric and AI-enabled platforms across Southeast Asia and Japan.
From Turnaround to Momentum
Compared to the preceding quarter (4QFY2025), Infomina’s revenue grew modestly by 2.2%, but its profitability rebounded sharply. The Group registered a PBT of RM9.9 million, reversing a loss before tax of RM1.9 million in the previous quarter — a turnaround primarily driven by the absence of a one-off impairment provision of RM10 million related to a Philippine customer in FY2025.
This recovery underscores Infomina’s operational resilience and its ability to stabilize margins following project normalization across its regional operations.
Strong Balance Sheet and Cash Position
As of 31 August 2025, Infomina maintained a net cash position of RM90.2 million, supported by cash and short-term deposits of RM98.3 million against total loans and borrowings of only RM8.1 million. Shareholders’ funds stood at RM156.7 million, with a healthy current ratio of 2.2 times.
Operating cash flow also turned positive during the quarter, reflecting improved working capital management and consistent profitability. The Group’s RM291 million orderbook provides clear visibility for the remainder of FY2026, reinforcing management’s confidence in sustaining growth.
Expanding Data & AI Solutions: The Infomina AI Strategy
Beyond its long-standing mainframe and infrastructure contracts, Infomina is intensifying focus on AI-driven and data-centric solutions through the Infomina AI initiative — a portfolio aimed at unlocking value through data intelligence, API connectivity, and predictive analytics.
Recent milestones include:
- ValuationXchange (launched July 2025) — an AI-powered property valuation and analytics platform under Infomina Geolytik Sdn Bhd, now onboarding customers across financial and regulatory sectors.
- AiMod (launched August 2025) — a self-serve data analytics and modeling platform, enabling enterprises to extract insights and automate decision-making.
- AiExe (in development) — a workflow automation suite integrating data, intelligence, and AI execution into enterprise processes.
These proprietary platforms mark Infomina’s evolution into an AI-led technology group, capable of generating recurring income streams as adoption and utilization scale up.
CEO Commentary: Scaling Across Asia
Infomina CEO and Managing Director Yee Chee Meng (余志明) said the strong first-quarter performance validates the Group’s regional strategy and technological pivot.
“Revenue rose 18.2% year-on-year to RM54.6 million with PBT improving to RM9.9 million, driven by higher contributions from all key segments,” Yee said.
“Our balance sheet and cash flow remain strong, underscoring the resilience of our business model. As we scale further, our Japan operations, which have already onboarded over 10 active clients, are expected to become a major growth contributor.”
“We are also encouraged by the early momentum from our AI-led solutions, including ValuationXchange and AiMod. These platforms expand our market footprint into proptech and enterprise analytics, building scalable recurring revenue streams for the future.”
Outlook: Building for Sustainable Growth
Infomina’s expansion continues across Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan, supported by new contracts and a growing regional client base.
Management remains confident of delivering a stronger FY2026 performance, driven by:
- Ongoing digital transformation in ASEAN markets,
- Rising traction from its Japan business, and
- A rapidly expanding suite of proprietary AI-powered platforms.
With a healthy balance sheet, robust orderbook, and deepening regional presence, Infomina is well-positioned to sustain growth and enhance shareholder value through FY2026 and beyond.
