Jakarta, Indonesia, 5 November 2026 – PT Bursa Efek Indonesia, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia will publish additional information identifying whether shareholders owning more than 1% of a listed company are controllers or their affiliates. The monthly disclosures will begin with ownership data dated 30 October 2026, the market operators said in a joint statement on 4 November.

For Asian investors, the change addresses a practical question: whether apparently separate holdings belong to connected interests. More detailed ownership information can support assessments of control and concentration. It comes while MSCI Inc. is consulting on a proposed reclassification of Indonesia’s indexes, but the disclosure announcement does not itself resolve that review or guarantee the removal of existing index restrictions.
