TAIPEI, 5 November 2025 — Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also widely recognised as Foxconn and a major supplier of servers for Nvidia Corp., reported a strong 11.3% year-on-year increase in October revenue, with earnings reaching NT$895.7 billion (approx. US$29 billion).
The growth trajectory is consistent with the company’s recent performance and highlights sustained momentum in demand for artificial-intelligence-infrastructure components, particularly servers that house Nvidia chips. Foxconn indicated that the pace is likely to continue into the fourth quarter, projecting sales growth of about 15% for the three months ending December.
Why This Matters
- AI investment ripple: The revenue rise reinforces the narrative that major tech players continue to invest heavily in data-centre build-out, server capacity and AI-hardware supply chains. Foxconn’s role as a key assembler and supplier underscores its strategic importance in this value chain.
- Asian supply-chain implications: For Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian manufacturing hubs tied to high-end server/AI hardware production, Foxconn’s performance signals robust upstream demand and potential growth opportunities for local suppliers and component-makers.
- Diversification of business model: While Foxconn remains strongly engaged in consumer electronics (iPhones, etc.), its pivot toward server production for AI tasks indicates a structural shift that could help guard against cyclicality in consumer electronics.
- Investor confidence & valuation cues: The positive results may support the valuations of suppliers and contract-manufacturers in the region, but they also raise questions about sustainability of growth once the initial wave of AI infrastructure build-out moderates.
Key Watch-Points
- Sustainability of server growth: Whether Foxconn can maintain or accelerate this growth pace beyond the fourth quarter, especially as global macro and supply-chain dynamics evolve.
- Margin pressure & product‐mix: How much of the sales growth is driven by high-margin AI-server builds versus lower-margin consumer segments; a shift toward the former may enhance profitability.
- Geopolitical and trade risk: With manufacturing increasingly globalised and supply chains under stress from tariffs, regulation and regional relocations, Foxconn’s exposure to such risks remains elevated.
- Regional value-chain spill-overs: Asian suppliers of server components, PCB manufacturing, HDPE casing, cooling systems and logistics may gain from Foxconn’s uplift, but they may also face bottlenecks or inflation in input costs.
