Gold Advances Above US$4,100 After Federal Reserve Holds Rates Steady

Singapore, 30 July 2026 – Gold advanced above US$4,100 an ounce after the United States Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged, as declines in the dollar and Treasury yields improved the immediate outlook for the non-yielding precious metal.

Spot gold rose approximately 2% to US$4,101.99 an ounce during Wednesday’s trading, after reaching an intraday high of US$4,116.26. The move placed bullion at its strongest level since 23 July and reversed earlier weakness ahead of the monetary-policy announcement.
