Kuala Lumpur, 6 October 2025 – Fresh-vegetable wholesaler and distributor Farm Price Holdings Bhd says it is entering a high-growth phase, anchored by expansion across capacity, markets, and product offerings. The company is preparing to nearly double its centralised distribution centre in Senai, Johor, and deepen its presence regionally to fuel growth.
At present, the company is converting its 78,721 sq ft Senai facility into a 149,548 sq ft hub, repositioning it as a stronger backbone for logistics, cold chain operations, and cross-border distribution. Farm Price is also active in wholesale and distribution of food & beverage and general groceries, positioning its expansion to capture synergies across product lines.
Analysts see this as more than just square footage. RHB Research projects 33 percent year-on-year earnings growth from FY2026 onward, citing the new Johor hub and deeper Singapore expansion as key levers. Farm Price’s ability to absorb the upgraded capacity within three years is viewed as plausible, given rising demand in Malaysia and in Singapore, especially for pre-packed and fresh-cut produce.
The Singapore market already contributes about 28 percent of Farm Price’s revenue, and management aims to push that figure closer to 50 percent over time, leveraging its Johor facility and border logistics advantages.
Farm Price has already shown signs of financial traction. In 1H FY2025, the group posted a net profit increase (year-on-year) supported by expansion initiatives and cost savings.
For investors and regional observers, this story is rich with structural signals:
- Scalability & margin expansion
Doubling capacity ahead of demand growth offers a path to margin leverage. The key is whether Farm Price can fill the extra volume without incurring disproportionately higher fixed costs. - Cross-border market leverage
Singapore is a high-value market for fresh produce. If Farm Price can deepen exports and distribution across the Straits, it may command premium pricing dynamics relative to domestic Malaysian markets. - Cold chain & logistics moat
Expansion in cold storage, robust supply chain, and border efficiency gives Farm Price a defensible position, especially as freshness and speed become competitive differentiators in food distribution. - Re-rating potential
If execution succeeds and earnings accelerate as projected, Farm Price may merit multiple expansion, especially among consumer and logistics plays in Malaysia and Singapore. - Risks to monitor
Execution delays, regulatory or import/export barriers, logistics disruptions (e.g. weather, cross-border control), and margin erosion from rising costs are real threats.
