New York, United States, 11 August 2026 – Diesel prices rose sharply after attacks on refineries in Russia and Saudi Arabia intensified existing supply disruptions, creating fresh cost pressure for transport, agriculture and industrial users across global markets.

United States ultra-low-sulphur diesel futures climbed 7.4% on Monday to settle at US$4.19 a gallon, the largest daily gain since 13 July. European diesel refining margins, measured as the difference between fuel prices and crude-oil costs, rose nearly 10%.
