Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2026 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong are expected to unveil the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone master plan in December, giving investors a clearer timetable for the document intended to guide one of Southeast Asia’s most ambitious cross-border growth initiatives.
The December timing comes from the latest selected reporting source. Earlier official statements had placed the launch at the Malaysia–Singapore Leaders’ Retreat in the fourth quarter of 2026. December is therefore consistent with the broader timetable, although final event arrangements remain subject to bilateral confirmation.
