China, 10 August 2026 – Chinese researchers are examining whether ultrasound combined with microbubbles can improve the treatment of aggressive liver tumours, adding to a growing field focused on delivering therapy more precisely while limiting damage to healthy tissue.
Microbubbles are tiny gas-filled structures that respond to ultrasound. In medical settings, they can improve imaging and may help temporarily alter tumour blood vessels or cell membranes, allowing drugs or other therapeutic effects to reach a targeted area more effectively.
