PETALING JAYA, 17 October 2025 – Bintai Kinden Corporation Berhad (“BKCB” or “the Company”; Bursa: BINTAI, 6998) has strengthened its presence in Malaysia’s southern industrial corridor after securing a RM25.2 million contract for main building works at Golden Valley Hi-Tech Park in Kulai, Johor.
The contract was awarded to Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindenko Sdn. Bhd. (KBK), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, by IED Construction Sdn. Bhd. for the construction of eight factory units for Golden Valley Capital Sdn. Bhd.
Strategic Win in a Fast-Growing Industrial Hub
Golden Valley Hi-Tech Park is emerging as one of Johor’s most strategic industrial developments, designed to attract high-value manufacturing, logistics, and technology enterprises. Located within close reach of the North–South Expressway, Senai International Airport, and Iskandar Malaysia’s economic zones, the park’s connectivity makes it a magnet for new-generation industrial projects, including data centre infrastructure and advanced supply-chain facilities.
The five-month construction project will commence following the completion of piling works and submission of the Engineering Consultation Certificate (ECC) and as-built drawings, with completion targeted by June 2026.
Strengthening Turnaround Momentum
This award marks another milestone for Bintai Kinden, reinforcing its operational turnaround and diversification efforts. The Group has been actively repositioning itself within Malaysia’s civil and industrial construction segment following the rollout of its strategic regularisation plan earlier this year.
With this new project, BKCB expects a positive contribution to earnings over the next two quarters, further improving cash flow visibility and strengthening balance sheet fundamentals.
CEO: “A Vote of Confidence in Our Capabilities”
Datuk Tay Chor Han, Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer of Bintai Kinden, said the contract reflects growing trust in the Group’s ability to deliver quality projects in the industrial and high-tech space.
“This latest contract win underscores our competitiveness in the industrial and high-technology construction space. We are pleased to collaborate with IED Construction on a project that aligns with the development momentum in Johor’s manufacturing corridor,” he said.
“As we move forward, Bintai Kinden remains committed to delivering projects efficiently while capitalising on the rising demand for quality industrial facilities in key growth regions across Malaysia.”
Outlook: Expanding Order Book and Pipeline
As of October 2025, Bintai Kinden maintains an outstanding order book of RM143.63 million and a tender book of RM542.87 million, reflecting active participation in new project bids across the country. The Group continues to target industrial, commercial, and public infrastructure developments, with a focus on sustainable growth and disciplined execution.
The Johor project signals continued confidence from developers and contractors in Bintai Kinden’s technical expertise and project delivery track record, key strengths that have supported its recovery trajectory.
With improving fundamentals, expanding partnerships, and a growing footprint across Malaysia’s industrial hubs, Bintai Kinden is poised to capture further opportunities arising from the country’s manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology-driven development agenda.
