Beijing, China, 4 November 2026 – Apple Inc is opening developer testing of Apple Intelligence for Chinese iPhone users on 4 November, ahead of a public rollout planned for December with iOS 27.3. The initial release brings 18 artificial-intelligence features to the market and includes support for Alibaba Group’s Qwen in selected experiences, according to Apple’s announcement.

For Asian technology businesses and investors, the rollout addresses a gap between Apple’s international AI offering and its services in mainland China. It is not full public availability today, nor does it establish an advantage over domestic smartphone makers. The immediate development is a staged product introduction, with commercial adoption and competitive impact still to be demonstrated.
