Johor Bahru, 4 July 2026 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has criticised political leaders who exploit racial supremacy narratives for political gain, warning that such rhetoric weakens national unity and distracts from real issues affecting the people.
Anwar said leaders who repeatedly speak about racial dominance while failing to protect the interests of the community they claim to defend are misleading the public. He said the politics of racial fear and superiority does not solve problems linked to governance, corruption, poverty, land ownership or economic opportunity.
