PETALING JAYA, 21 January 2026 – Ambest Group Berhad, an engineering support services provider to the semiconductor industry, has launched its initial public offering (IPO) prospectus, pricing its shares at RM0.25 per share in preparation for its upcoming listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on February 6, 2026.

The prospectus was unveiled today at M World Hotel Petaling Jaya, marking a key milestone in Ambest’s transition into a publicly listed company as it seeks to scale operations alongside Malaysia’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem.

IPO Structure and Valuation

Under the IPO exercise, Ambest aims to raise gross proceeds of approximately RM27.50 million through the issuance of 110 million new shares at 25 sen each. Based on the enlarged share capital of 510,000,002 shares, the company will debut with an estimated market capitalisation of about RM127.5 million.

The company’s shares have been classified as Shariah-compliant by the Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia, broadening its appeal to institutional and retail Islamic investors.

Core Business and Capabilities

Ambest serves a core customer base of semiconductor manufacturers that require high-precision engineering solutions. The group specialises in customised precision machining, producing close-tolerance parts and components essential to semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Its manufacturing capabilities span milling, turning and turn-milling, supported by a fleet of 44 CNC milling machines, two CNC turning machines and seven CNC turn-milling machines. Complementing these in-house capabilities, Ambest also manages sheet metal fabrication through carefully selected third-party subcontractors that meet strict quality, pricing and delivery benchmarks.

Use of IPO Proceeds

Managing Director Tan Beng Beng (陈明明) said the IPO will strengthen Ambest’s balance sheet and operational capacity, supporting its next phase of growth.

A significant portion of the proceeds, RM12.0 million or 43.6%, will be used to repay bank borrowings related to the acquisition of Facility 42A in Bayan Lepas, Penang, which currently plays a central role in the group’s storage and production activities.

In addition, about RM3.9 million (14.2%) will be allocated for the purchase of two advanced machines, namely a 5-axis CNC machine and a CNC horizontal machine, to be installed at Facility 42A. These upgrades are expected to raise Ambest’s annual operating capacity by approximately 4%, further enhancing its precision manufacturing capabilities.

Expansion and Cleanroom Development

Looking ahead, Ambest plans to expand Facility 42A by adding an additional storey, increasing the built-up area from 2,010 square metres to 2,910 square metres. The expansion will allow the group to house additional machinery, improve production flow and construct a new cleanroom, complementing its existing Class 10,000 and Class 100,000 cleanroom facilities.

The group will also allocate about RM6.8 million (24.7%) of the proceeds for general working capital, supporting raw material procurement and operating needs as the business scales. A further RM4.8 million (17.5%) will be used to defray listing-related expenses.

Industry Outlook and Adviser’s View

Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd, the Principal Adviser, Sponsor, Underwriter and Placement Agent for the IPO, said the engineering support services segment continues to benefit from steady demand driven by higher precision requirements and outsourcing needs within manufacturing industries.

Managing Director Lim Chia Wei (林嘉薇) noted that Ambest’s technical depth, operational discipline and long-standing customer relationships provide a strong foundation as the group enters the public market. The management team collectively brings more than 50 years of industry experience, supported by robust quality management accreditations.
