Dartford, 4 June 2026 – Amazon has unveiled an upgraded artificial intelligence-powered warehouse robot as part of a major European fulfilment push, signalling how automation, AI and robotics are becoming central to the future of logistics and retail delivery.

The company showcased the next-generation Proteus robot at its “Delivering the Future” event in Dartford, United Kingdom. The upgraded robot can interpret conversational prompts and independently determine tasks, routes and timing, allowing warehouse employees to communicate with it more naturally rather than relying only on specialised software commands.
