United States, 4 November 2026 – Apple Inc. has expanded its annual risk disclosures to address artificial-intelligence agents that may act outside instructions or permissions, potentially exposing the company to litigation and reputational harm. The warning appears in its annual filing dated 3 November and concerns autonomous software that can interact with systems, alter code, send communications or complete transactions.
For Asian enterprises and investors, the disclosure highlights a distinction between AI that produces information and AI authorised to take actions.
