Leverkusen, 3 November 2026 – Bayer has raised its 2026 earnings outlook following stronger pharmaceutical performance, even as its agricultural business continues to face commercial pressure.

The German healthcare and agriculture group now expects currency-adjusted core earnings of €9.8 billion to €10.3 billion, compared with its previous forecast of €9.6 billion to €10.1 billion.

Its pharmaceutical division reported third-quarter sales of €4.68 billion, approximately 5% above analysts’ expectations. The stronger performance helped support investor confidence, with Bayer shares rising following the announcement on 3 November.

However, the upgraded outlook does not indicate that every part of the group is recovering equally. The results highlight the importance of understanding how individual divisions contribute to overall corporate performance.
