Singapore, 30 October 2026 – Singapore Airlines has extended the cancellation of its daily flights between Singapore and Dubai until 28 February 2027. The affected services are SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore. The national carrier said the extension reflects the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, keeping the route suspended beyond the previously announced period.
The decision matters to Asian businesses and investors because the Singapore–Dubai corridor links Southeast Asian corporate travel, trade, finance and tourism with a major Middle Eastern hub. The confirmed fact is the cancellation through 28 February 2027; the wider effects on earnings, aircraft utilisation and passenger flows depend on how long the disruption lasts and how travellers reroute. Airlines, airports, cargo operators and travel companies must manage a longer period of uncertainty without treating one route as a proxy for the whole network.
