Jakarta, 28 October 2026 – PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, the Indonesian banking subsidiary in which CIMB Group Holdings Bhd owns 91.45%, reported a 14.7% year-on-year decline in net profit attributable to shareholders for the nine months ended 30 September 2026. Profit was IDR4.49 trillion, down from IDR5.27 trillion, as narrower lending margins and higher provisions weighed on earnings.

The results matter to investors because they show loan growth continuing alongside weaker profitability at a major Indonesian lender linked to a Malaysian banking group. The figures confirm pressure from lower net interest income and increased loss provisions; they do not, on their own, establish a deterioration in the bank’s entire loan book or predict the next reporting period.
