The 8th World Top Gourmet Awards 2026 celebrated leading chefs, restaurants and culinary entrepreneurs in Kuala Lumpur, with the next ceremony announced for Guangzhou in January 2027.

Kuala Lumpur, 22 October 2026 – The 8th World Top Gourmet Awards 2026 brought together leading chefs, restaurant operators, entrepreneurs and food and beverage brands from across Asia and beyond at the Andaman Grand Ballroom in Kuala Lumpur. Organised by World Gourmet under President Dr Peggy Chong, the ceremony recognised culinary achievements and international industry contributions as Malaysia marked Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

For Malaysia’s hospitality and food and beverage industry, the awards highlighted the growing importance of gastronomy in tourism, entrepreneurship and international business connections. With rising operating costs and changing consumer expectations affecting restaurant operators, the event also emphasised innovation, service quality and collaboration as businesses seek sustainable growth.
